Lesson #1 - The Period of Discord 1763 - 1775
Tutorial begins with an overview of the causes of discord as the result of British taxation on the American Colonies. Covers the Stamp Act, the Townshend Duties, the Boston Massacre. The Boston Tea Party, the 1st Continental Congress, and the start of war at Lexington-Concord.

Lesson #2 - The War of Independence 1775 - 1783
Focuses on important events of the war - battles at Lexington-Concord, Fort Ticonderoga, Bunker Hill, Quebec, Montreal, and Trenton, and on the appointment of George Washington as Commander-in-Chief. Discusses who the parties in the conflict were (Tories, Loyalists, fence sitters, Hessians, the Minutemen and the supporters). Covers the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the importance of unalienable rights.

Lesson #3 - The Turning Point 1777 - 1783
Begins with the battles at Oriskany and Saratoga and emphasizes that Saratoga was the turning point for American victory because the Battle of Saratoga helped to enlist invaluable aid from France. The remaining battles in the War of Independence are discussed as well as the emerging American Navy.
