Module is designed for slower readers of all ages-Adult, ESL, Literacy, LD. This is the first course in phonics. It is suitable for adults as well as grade school students. Hard Disk Space 19.4MB.
Curriculum Content: Phonics of beginning sounds of vowels and consonants sequenced as: a-apple, t-table, n-nail, c-cat, m-man, h-hat, p-pan, d-dog, b-bear, l-ladder, f-fish, g-gate, s-sun, v-view, w-watch, o-open, k-key, j-jam, y-yoke, and z-zoo.
Features: Voice tutorial. Student listens and chooses a word that has the beginning sound of the letter pronounced and of the screen’s picture. Answer choices are pronounced and shown on the screen. Incorrect responses lead to a remedial frame and to redoing the base frame. Correct responses are followed by a reward frame. Date, time of day, and score are shown on screen, with option to print. All record-keeping is preserved in the Portfolio folder on the hard disk.

Features: Voice tutorial and drill on initial consonants. Student listens and types the initial blend that has the beginning sound of the key word pronounced. Incorrect responses lead to a remedial frame showing words with the blend's sound, and to redoing the key frame.

Tutorials on silent vowels and short vowels precede mixed drill on all vowels. Incorrect responses lead to a remedial frame and to redoing the key frame. Remedial frame speaks the correct vowel sound. Includes a vowel sound dictionary which lets the student click to hear vowel sounds.
